Beta test open on Android
90 days.One ✓ a day.
You write the habits. Every evening you tie off the day and one more cell in the grid gets its mark. Miss a day and Snurko says so, plainly — no streak repairs, no guilt notifications. It's free and open source: nothing locked, no subscription, no ads. The Android build is in closed testing right now, so you can run it before launch.
Use the address of the Google account your phone is signed in to on Google Play. Closed testing runs off a list of addresses, so a different one will not see the test.
How the test works
Sign up here
Leave the address of the Google account your phone uses for Google Play. That is the address we put on the list, and the one Google Play checks when you open the test.
We add you to the tester list
We put your address on the closed-test list and write back with the test link. That reply is the only mail the test itself produces.
Join, install, keep it 14 days
Open play.google.com/apps/testing/app.snurko with the same Google account, accept the test and install Snurko from Google Play. Then keep it installed and stay in the test for 14 days — Google counts continuous days, so leaving early costs you nothing but sets the test back.
Testing costs nothing and asks nothing else of you: no survey, no report, no account. Run the challenge the way you would run it anyway, and write to us if something breaks.
The launch promise stands either way — one message from us the day Snurko is public, whether or not you end up testing.
How it works
Write your habits
Three of them or seven, whatever you can actually hold for three months. You choose them once, at the start, and the set locks for the whole challenge.
Tie off the day
Each evening you tick off what you did. A complete day gets a ✓ in the grid — one of ninety. An incomplete day gets nothing, and stays visible as an empty cell.
Don't break the chain
The filling grid is the whole reward. No points, no levels, no badges, no confetti on day 90 — just ninety marks and the fact that you made them.
The restart rule, said out loud
Miss a day and the attempt archives — you start again at day 1. You agree to that before the first day, and it still holds on day 63. The archived attempt stays in your history; nothing you did gets erased, it just no longer counts toward this ninety.

Why not the others
Apps in this category usually fail in one of three ways. They break, and lose a day you actually completed. They bury a checklist under streak-repair tokens, XP, levels and a social feed, until tracking five habits takes longer than doing them. Or they put your own history behind a monthly subscription, so stopping paying means losing the record.
Snurko is one screen, one grid, and completely free: nothing locked, no subscription, no ads, no account. Your days live on your phone, not in someone's database.
You don't have to take that on trust. Snurko's source is public under the GPL-3.0, so you can read exactly what it does with your days — and what it never sends anywhere. Read the code on GitHub
If a plain note template works for you, great — Snurko is that template, except it reminds you in the morning and never loses your day.
Questions
- Is this a 75 Hard app?
- No. 75 Hard is someone else's list of rules. Snurko is your habits and your fail conditions, held for 90 days — the same discipline, without the borrowed program. If your rules happen to be 75 Hard's, nothing stops you from writing them in.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing. Snurko is free and open source under the GPL-3.0 — no subscription, no tiers, no ads, no account, and not one feature held back for a payment. The beta test is free as well; nothing about it is billed, now or later. There is an optional tip in the app; it unlocks nothing, it just helps cover the yearly store fees.
- Where does my data live?
- On your phone. Snurko is local-first: no account, no sign-up, no copy on our servers, and it works with the plane on. Export and import are yours to run, so your history is portable the day you want to leave.
- When does it launch, and on what?
- January, on Android. The closed test is already running, so if you join it the app is real and installable today. The iOS build is ready and goes to the App Store as soon as review clears it — that date is Apple's to decide, so we won't promise one. The tester list is also the announcement list: join it and you'll hear from us once, when the app is out.
- What does testing actually involve?
- Using the app. You write your habits, tick your days off, and tell us if something breaks. There is no task list, no survey, no screen recording and no account — during the test Snurko sends nothing anywhere either.
- Why 14 days?
- Google's rule, not ours. Before an Android app can go public, Google Play wants a closed test with at least 12 people opted in for 14 continuous days. That is the whole reason this page asks for testers rather than only for an address.
